I have used this firm several times over the past three years for the installation of solar panels and batteries. I have been very pleased with the work they have done and they are all very friendly and polite. To date I have had no problems with the installations and all paperwork was provided very promptly and appropriately.

I got Beazer to supply and install a battery to go with my solar and heatpump. they weren't quite the cheapest quote I got, but I chose Beazer because they are a well established local company, strongly recommended by several people I know. The whole process - inspection, quote, supply, installation and aftercare was excellent.

I volunteer admin a local Chippenham based community rooftop solar scheme. Consequently for the past four years i have worked closely with Beazer as a recommended installer for our scheme, and also in a personal capacity two years ago to install my own home AC battery system. I have found Beazer to be helpful and knowledgeable. As a community group we have a bi-monthly meetings where we report on completed installations and customer feedback. I like that Beazer train local apprentices and work hard to maintain a good reputation whilst offering competitive pricing. As a former electrical and electronics engineer i enjoy discussing the latest technology progress and guidance with John and Liam - Sodium batteries for example, changes in BSI guidance for battery and inverter locations. An excellent company to work with.

Absolutely shocking solar panel installation. Virtually every aspect of the installation was in breach of the MCS guidelines and code that they are meant to adhere to, and against manufacturer instructions and standard practice for solar panel installations. The whole installation had to be redone by a different solar panel installer 10 months later (who were excellent and ensured everything was done to MCS standards). Insufficient roof hooks were used and they were resting on fragile, brittle roof tiles (rather than synthetic tiles or metal sheets) as per manufacturer instructions and the MSC guidelines for weather tightness. This resulted in nearly half of the roof tiles breaking just months later. Had they been left, these hooks could then have penetrated the roof felt and caused serious leaks in our roof. I queried on numerous occasions whether it was fine to rest the hooks on tiles and it was dismissed saying that it fine which was incorrect. The manufacturer instructions clearly state that they should never rest on tiles as the weight and wind load will cause them to break. Other installers confirmed that this should never be done and any MCS certified installer should have been fully aware of this. Had I not got another installer in to complete the work this would have been simply left - there was never any intention to replace these. Roof hooks resting on tiles broke at least one tile during installation and shockingly they just siliconed the broken roof tile together (see photo). No effort was made to replace the broken tile even though plenty were available on site to use. It should have been extremely obvious that this was going to cause issues with weather tightness in the future. One set of rails was spaced far too close together at 70 cm apart when it should have been at least 95 cm - 110cm according to the instructions (and standard practice which is around 90 cm typically for that size of panels) - there was absolutely no reason for this other than a lack of care. This would have increased the flex and load on the solar panels especially as it's in a very exposed, windy location. As you can see from the photos, the rails were joined extremely poorly and left resting on roof tiles. A number of the panels were also missing end clips that hold the panels to the rail, so not properly secured. When I queried this they agreed it didn't look good but tried to pass it off as it being due to them running out of rails on the day and it being unfinished which was ridiculous as no effort was made to come back on site to rectify it nearly 10 months later. There was no mention of any further work being needed to complete the rail installation and there was ample opportunity at any time to come back and rectify it. The panels can easily be accessed from within the house and our scaffolding was also left up for several months afterwards as they saw during subsequent visits so no excuse. Cables were simply tucked under tiles without any effort to include any flashing to ensure weather tightness. The original design specification was poor. Despite being in a heavily shaded east-west facing valley roof with trees nearby, they failed to recommend installing solar panel optimisers as part of their original work. It was only after I looked into the issues with shading and it became obvious that these would be needed that they agreed these should have been fitted (and were going to retro-fit these). It should have been very clear that these were needed, especially with one panel in 25% shade, as it would have significantly impacted performance. When I started an formal MCS complaint, the company admitted that it "did not look good", but tried to initially palm it off saying that they had not finished the work which was ridiculous given that no effort whatsoever was made to come back in the days or weeks after. After saying that I would be raising a formal complaint, they refunded the installation cost (as I wasn't happy for them to redo it given what had occurred). Very stressful. No effort was made to apologise.

Super professional company, upgraded our consumer unit and fitted solar panels with storage. Very friendly staff and work done to the highest standards. Their service proves to be popular, so best to plan any work well in advance: this can't be a bad sign though!
