A brilliant set of people to deal with, knowledgeable, well organised and professional. Simon, Carl and team’s work is tidy and they flex to accommodate the situation. Gave me a strong feeling of confidence in them tackling any problems that emerged. Clare in the office is super organised and responsive. There are plenty of cowboys out there providing low-ball quotes. If you want it done right, without hassle, choose these guys.
Had a Tesla powerwall 2 installed by Simon and the team a couple of years ago. A great job and its been worth its weight in gold as its provides a back-up supply to the whole house and we get frequent powercuts. Indeed, after Storm Eown we were without mains power for 3 days. The powerwall kept the lights, fridge and freezer and central heating on all that time and because there was some sun and the solar panels still work, it topped the battery up. Was so impressed, that have just had Simon install a second Powerwall 2 and its another excellent installation. I highly recommend Simon and the team.

Enjoyed working with Simon and Clare. They’ve just installed a 7.3kW system on our roof and it’s fantastic to see it generating power. What is more, they were the only supplier locally who were both motivated and confident that they could install an in-roof system onto our corrugated sheet metal roof. Other suppliers were pushing for either on-roof installs or if it was in-roof then it would be significantly less generation capability. Both of which were disappointing to us. SJD on the other hand were very helpful in working with our architect directly through the design phase to optimise the layout and in turn adjust the roof design to accommodate more panels. Their patience and communication was also great - we are no experts in solar etc so it was good to be guided through this process so we’re very grateful for that. They also helped us future proof our system advising on cables and ducts (it was a self build so we could do this) in order to accommodate a future battery when we have the funds. The panels look amazing, and we’re really excited to be benefitting from the solar gains!
It’s been a pleasure dealing with SJD. From the initial planning to the final execution, the company has been very professional and competent. Simon came on a couple of site visits and planned the PV and battery system. The queries I had were quickly answered and Clare was very helpful. Everything went very smoothly on the agreed installation date with the bulk of the equipment delivered the day before and on the day, four people did the bulk of the installation as a well-practiced team. Completion was the following day. Would recommend without hesitation.
I wanted to use a local solar system installer rather than a National company both to support local companies and hopefully to get a better service as local firms need to protect their reputation. Clare dealt quickly with all the initial correspondence including the G99 submission. A date was agreed and the installation went ahead as planned. The scaffolding and delivery of the equipment was arranged by SJD a few days before the installation. The installation was completed in a day without any issues with the system up and running at the end of the day. All in all a job well done and I would definitely recommend them to others.
